From what I've observed, truely, all those who are the so-called 'Elites' are damn arogant.. Not that I want to say it in such unpleasant way but THIS IS WHAT YOU HAVE SHOWN ME.. Proud,arogance, always look down on us (the minorities)..I would say you guys sucks to the core. Ask yourself,do you really have the passion in whatever you're doing now?do you really enjoy every moment of learning?what's your motive for doing such thing?what's your ultimate goal?EARN BIG BUCKS?S*** you!!

Does earning lots of money, becoming rich, important to you?Would you accomplish those tasks that you do not have interest in it?Come on la, it's not about earning money the counts, it's about how you learn during the process,how you absorb that right knowledge and how you can find INTEREST in what you do. At the end of the day, yes, we will get a jobs,we will earn money, but ultimately whether you would enjoy doing or not, it's all up to your interest...

For me, i've already planned out everything that I'd accomplish in future.. First up,I'll master the basic culinary knowledge,follow then, if possible, i'll find myself a part time job in restuarant..well, we have to start eveything from scratch..I don't mind taking up waitress job,so long it's a position where I have my interest in it and through this, I can learn new skills in a more better and relaxing way, rather than as though you're forced to learn. the attitude is different. the way of acceptance is different. At the end of the day, whether you enjoy the process or not, it's all up to you. U have interest, you go for it, if not, then pass it..

Also, i'm going to open my very own resturant. From my point of view, earning revenue is not my ultimate aim,but rather, my aim is to recieve acceptance and appreciation from customers that they come to my place not just to eat and fill their stomach, but to really enjoy the cuisine, and appreciate the effort the chef had put in..People out there, let me tell you this, you don't eat, just to fill your pathetic stomach, but you appreciate the cooking process and respect the efforts made by chef.That should be the mindset everyone of us must have.


Today I saw Justina Goh.. She pull my aside for some private talk. She brought up yesterday's issue. I was quite upset yet disappointed by what she said.
Yesterday my mum and I went down to school and met her up. Justina asked me about my future plan.. I replied, ' mdm, my aim is to go Temasek Polytechnic..' Specifically,I told her that I want to take up Culinary & Catering Management course. Or, if I didn't perform well for Os, my alternative plan would be Shatec..She's a bit stunt..OK,fine..

The following day, which was today, what she said has really turned me off. She said, 'Errmm, Lay Hwa, do you know that Shatec courses are for students who didn't perform well in academy?It's not a very ideal choice though..' I was damn angry and upset. I replied her and exclaimed, 'mdm! For goodness sake, didn't I told you that the course that I'm choosing is based on MY INTEREST? IT'S ALL FOR MY INTEREST!!..'

I really felt very disgusted by those people who look down on Shatec students or even the ITEs'..!!For goodness sake, they chose these courses not because their academy results are poor but rather they are doing courses which they has found interests in it! Please get this RIGHT & CLEAR!! You people are so shallow,so narrow minded. I DETEST you people out there!HELL TO U!! ***K


Holiday Assignments

It's been three days since Sunday. I guess right now most of us are at home,relaxing, ~chionging~ your PC games. What about me? Sad case, the school has arranged a 'wonderful' list of lessons for us and it's going to last for another week..How thoughtful~ is the school.. Moreover, on top of going back to school, we are also assigned with several holiday assignments..How wonderful it is~~.. Guess it's time for me to voice out my concern.

I felt that the school should retrieve back the holiday assignments. It's obvious that most of us will not do the assignment due to some reason (laziness la)..and so, if it turns take out to be like this, they are just wasting the school's resources,wasting the printer's ink, wasting THEIR effort.. No doubt the minorities will do the assignment diligently, at the end of the day, they still cannot receive the full amount..So what's the point?

Thus I would suggest the school to distribute the assignments during lesson time. It's better to do so cOz you can see, all of us are present and if we have any queries, we are able to seek aids from teacher ON THE SPOT..So why not?

haha..today i learned a new word..It actually came from a guy..A person who all along never speak out but suddenly shock me with such questions..i shall not reveal cOz i find that it's quite personal and it's a very sensitive topic..haha..Good Job manz,you're improving your english..at the same time, you also added new words into my log book..haha..Interesting one.. :P


Alright,let me do a counting first.. Back track a bit,i started off my Chinese intensive on 15 May and today is 22 May..so that means I've managed to put thru 6 days (excluding weekend) out of 2 HELL WEEK..Thank God..to be honest, this intensive period is not a joking matter,okie?.. Base on what Ms Goh has said, the school wanted to DRILL us for the coming Os level Chinese which is on next Monday, 28 May..but come to think of it, yes, right now all we need is lots of revisions and practices but, would it be good if they can give us short break before the Os paper? All of us know, no point struggling thru last minute work.. It's not effective anyway.. Come to think of it, I've got enough of all this shit! It's like you have to do the same old practices every single day and honestly i can't think much anymore...I've got no better idea to write on my composition..And mind you, I'm not that great in my writing..So it's kind of tough of me.. I felt that I'm slacking now.. Each day, it's either i have insufficient time to complete or my mind is wondering off some other things outside school.. It's kind of torturing la..I hate this feeling.. Oh God,please guide me thru this hell week and let time quickly pass so that I can immediately take my paper and concentrate on other subject..
I felt that the school is wasting lots of time doing revision for this Os Chinese paper.. why can't they balance it well? both the school and I are aware that coming the end of year, there would be another re-take paper for those who didn't perform well on the coming Monday paper..Since there's a second chance, why the school still spend so much time now doing all this?..I got a feeling..I will be re-taking my paper again..I don't know..but after all the practices that I've been doing this few days, I felt that there's a certain level of difficulties that I've yet to reach..I'm getting worried now..How?...

Quit Mourning. Quit Worrying..

Friends out there, I guessed all of us have known how well/bad we fared for this MYE.. For those who didn't take this paper seriously, you will find that it's just nothing.. You guys shouldn't hold such least expectation. I know that it's just Mid year paper only.. but you think about it, if you try to give in your best shot for this paper and gage your performance,you can actually realise how much more you'd have to improve.. So,it's kind of a pity that you guys didn't take this paper seriously.. I remembered, when I was in the examination hall rushin' thru my questions, I took a glance at the candidates on my left hand side..To my surprise, I was totally shocked by what I saw..2 or 3 of them aren't doing their papers.. they slept thru out the whole duration.. I was astonished..

Anyway, for those who had really put in their effort but got back an unexpected results, don't get so dishearten.. I can honestly tell you that this time round,there's no leniency in marking of the scripts..they go according to O level's standard.. More over, that Betty Chow also did mentioned in the earlier part this year that our marks will go down by 2 grades as compared to N level results. No doubt we did very well for N's paper last year, O level is totally different.. So,in order to keep up with the pace,closin' up the big gap between N's and O's standard, we got to clarify our doubts.. Well, we can help each other..Or what you guys has already been doing, seek help from the teacher itself.. But after all,self revision is also very important...

You guys have been doing well.. Don't give up. We shall put it thru this tough journey together and celebrate our great triumph..Last but least, YOUR HARDWORK DO PAYS OFF..加油！:)


most of the time when we are free,we've got nothing better to do,we tend to look back in the past..we recalled those days when we were young and ignorant..those were days when we've yet to be mature enough to think.. Right now,as we grow older,we ought to grow up,physically that's for sure, but most of all,we've got to be serious in whatever things we do..we can't treat it as though it's just a 'matter' but we must think carefully and consider the resultant outcome if we were to go ahead and take up these tasks..I thank God for always,without fail, providing me a suggestion to it..

besides that,we cannot always dwell in the past..You'll tend to have negative thoughts if you've had experienced bad childhood..sooner or later,you won't realised what you've done right now that can cause itself much hurts..so you guys out there,instead of thinking back,why not look forward in future? who knows,you'll be even more successful than what your are right now?so i urge you guys to throw away all the past memories and start planning for your future..It's going to take some time but no worries, YOU CAN DO IT!!YOU CAN OVERCOME IT!!:D

Success always comes with good plannings,follow by actions..and even if it doesn't proceeds as what you've planned, do accept the reality and improve upon it..It'd help and mould U into a better person..

this morning,i woke up very early at about 6.30am cOz i slept VERY early night either..first person i saw the very moment I open my eyes was my granny..she just woke up too..i find it very cute when I saw her blur-looking face..she was smiling at me,saying "good morning my dear.."^^ it's kind of a rare occasion cOz most of the time,although I woke up early in the morning for school,I have to rush off. 10 days has passed. It seems like 10 years long..What have I been doing this few days? Study, study and more study for mid year examination. I won't blame him for not siding some time for me cOz I'm awared that he's also busy with his school assignment which is gonna due this following day..

You Should Spend Your Summer at the Beach

Aloha!! I'm back to blog this page again.. Time has really flied very fast.. Right now,i'm in the midst of mid year examination.. Today I just had my Math paper.. Sad to say, i've failed to fulfilled my promise that is not to leave any blanks in the paper.. But never mind,it's ok.. afterall, the very moment when i'm stucked with this particular question, it's a gone-case for me already..Don't know means don't know..Can't remember, and that's it.. However, I covered 97% of the paper.. so i'm still alright.. In all, before I handed up the srcipts, I managed to do a quick calculation.. Out of the whole paper, I've lost 7 precious mark which are those unanswered ones.. Tomorrow i'm going to have my EL oral.. So, 加油！1 more day to go and i'll be free, for a while..Good Day!:)

Shells with Asparagus and Carrots - Conchiglie con Asparagi e Carote

INGREDIENTS:

• 14 ounces (400 g) conchiglie (small shells) or similar pasta
• A bunch of asparagus, about a pound (400 g)
• 2 carrots
• A small onion
• A 6-inch (15 cm) rib of celery
• 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• Salt and pepper to taste

PREPARATION:

1. Set pasta water to boil.
2. Trim and discard the tough white ends from the asparagus spears. Cut the green parts of the spears in half widthwise, and then quarter them lengthwise to obtain strips of asparagus.
3. Peel the carrots, and cut them into strips using a potato peeler. Mince the onion. Julienne the celery, removing filaments if it has them, blanch it, and pat it dry.
4. Sauté the minced onion in the oil and butter until it is translucent, and then add the carrots, asparagus, and celery. Season to taste with salt and pepper and cook over a medium flame for 7-8 minutes.
5. In the meantime, salt the pasta water and cook the pasta. Season the pasta with the sauce and serve at once.

Sunday is always a good and joyous day for everyone.. Most of us attended service.. *gosh*.. As I was worshipping the Lord, feeling his presence, I felt so touched, peace at heart..As most of you guys know, my mid year exam has already started.. I bound to face lots of stress this few days but nonetheless I believe that my God will be able to calm me down when I'm depress or whatsoever.. Anyway, Frederick, Jasmine, Elaine and Sean went out for double date..They had a great time spent together.. It was the first time Jasmine met Elaine on Sunday and they both click very well.. Isn't it wonderful cOz most of us know Jasmine is not a very talkative & participative person..In a sense, she has the ability to keep silent for the rest of the day,which is, some of us might felt, quite scary though.. [Silence Killer..Muahahaha...] But surprisingly, Jas & Elaine chatted with each other very well after dates..Jasmine would say Elaine is a nice,caring person..She's able to communicate well, doesn't mind sharing her personal experience to others and most of all, she's caring towards anyone..Thank God for blessing Jasmine with a wonderful friend.. :)
