We all know that in order to accomplish your task right, you have to have plans. You lay out every single details so as when you proceed on, nothing will go wrong. But, besides all the plans and schedules that we sketched out, deep inside our heart, we also must have faith. Having faith is not about hoping. You don't hope for things to come true, but you believe in your heart that you can do it.
" The heart of a man is at the very centre, the core of man's being which is his spirit. " As having the faith within you,it lifts up your spirit, triggered your soul and action will eventually just comes in. Faith also gives us a sense of confidence, a feeling of confirmation, boldness and assurance.
"Faith without work is dead. "Hebrew 11:1
" Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. "
Notice that faith comes after the 'hoped' word (past tense), in which we did ever hope for something but no results formed. So therefore, Faith will be the ultimate sources we have. By having faith in you, you are able to see what's ahead of you. it's as though everything has set and saturated. Once you see that vision, you aim towards that direction and move on! Go ahead, soar and progress!
Heart-faith Versus Head-faith (extracted from Truth Foundation I)Hope is anchored in the realm of the
head, but faith is anchored in the realm of
heart. Many people claim to have faith in Jesus and the Bible, but their faith is only in the realm of mind, we call that
head-faith. Real faith is built on spiritual truths and revelation. We don't deny the problems, pains and other symptoms, for they are very real.
But we look beyond them to God's promises. Real faith says, "If God says it is so, it is so!".
Head-faith is just an intellectual, mental acceptance of certain facts and doctrines. This is not true Bible faith - it will not produce results and changes in the lives of people! But
heart-faith will always produce a definite change in people.
Faith is not the product of human reasoning. Human reasoning tells us that seeing is believing. The world's philosophy says that seeing is believing, but the Bible says believing is seeing. If we can see it with our physical senses, we don't need to believe God for it, since we have it already. Faith is necessary precisely because we cannot see!
a. True scriptural faith is
God-centered. (everything ties down to God)
b. True scriptural faith is
Word-centered. (held on to God's promises)
