Happy Chinese New Year to all!!!

Today I went down to my granny's place for vistation. It a great blessing to have these uncles and aunties around.. Why? Coz i received lots of ang bao.. heehee... Anyway, the main objective was to gather all of us together... Well, at least once a year? I felt sad for the elderly.. As their children grow up, having their own family, they tend to necglect their parents. At times, they even find that they are a nuisance to them. They find it troublesome to have them around as old people's mobility isn't that great as the youth, so to speak... I love my granny anyway... Too bad that i'm not equipped with fluent dilect language and they do not kow how to speak english.. What can we do?..... hmmZ...I supposed the presence of yours is more than enough... Really... I remembered last year's reunion dinner. My granny was left all alone at home because the whole family have to go down to my maternal's family side for reunion dinner.

As all of us were preparing ourselves to leave the house, granny grabbed hold of my hand and asked,

(In Hokkien)
" where are you going?"
"To popo(Grandma)'s house..." I said.
"Mummy leh? Ah seng leh?.." She asked again.
I said, " they are going too... "
" Am I alone at home?... ..."
".... erm... Yea.... "
"..... ...... ....... "

From then on, she kept quiet... I could see her face... Sad face... As though a children loses its parents... No accompany.. All alone....

I said, " Ah ma, we'll be back at 8pm.. A quick dinner.. Promise..."
She said, " okay then... "

I felt very bad... Can you imagine leaving your loved ones alone at a corner and just leave...?
