Recently, I came to know this turkish guy.. He's definitely liberal in his thoughts and I like his attitude. So, yesterday, he requested if we could have a video conference over MSN and it really strucked me for a while before I could reply him.
Why are we, Asians, so constrained within ourselves? Why are we afraid of this, afraid of that? Why are we not as liberal as the caucasians out there? Why is there a resistance within us? Why do we feel inferior as compared with the "ang moh"? Well, is it because of our command in English language? Will they ever uderstand what an Asian is trying to say if we open our mouth? Why are we their hot topic discussion? How will they view upon us? Will we,then, be able to make good friendship with them? Will there even be any nice topic to chat with?
Blackman, Free, is a friendly guy. I managed to dig out some stuff about him and our conversation shall continue as long as none of our contacts are deleted. I maybe putting myself at risk or humiliation, but I just love observing how these people would react to Asian, or perhaps, our culture and background.
Ciaoz..
